As a Senior Applied Scientist in our Data Science organization, you will be tasked with developing advanced models that help navigate vital trade-offs to create business value.

What You'll Be Doing (Job Duties):

• Develop and deploy robust causal inference models to measure the overall business impact of new product launches (e.g. PSM, Double ML).

• Lead the establishment of standards for measuring the success of new products and feature launches.

• Provide technical mentoring to other members of the data science team.

• Act as a thought partner for senior leadership to inform our product development process.

What We Look For In You:

• A PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics or Statistics, combined with 8+ years of distinguished industry experience.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages utilized for data analysis and statistical modeling.

• Deep theoretical and applied understanding of a variety of quasi-experimental methods.

• A proven track record of shaping business and product strategy through data-driven, causal insights, along with the ability to convey complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

• Exemplification of our core cultural values: clear communication, positive energy, continuous learning, and efficient execution.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in the fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.

• Specific experience with pricing models, marketing attribution, or customer lifetime value modeling.

• Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by cryptocurrency businesses and blockchain data.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity opportunities, and benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).

Base salary range shown. Total compensation also includes equity and bonus eligibility along with benefits: $207,485-$275,000 USD.
