Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Health Data Analyst, where you will be instrumental in managing and analyzing critical data for our Health Plan. Your role involves accessing, integrating, and overseeing data from various Molina Healthcare systems (like QNXT and Med Insight) alongside relevant external systems (including CMS and state-specific databases). You will manage files for CMS regulatory submissions and engage in exploratory analysis to derive insights.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting detailed gap analyses and presenting your findings and recommendations to upper management.
- Analyzing data trends to enhance data quality while adhering to data governance principles.
- Running investigative queries to uncover root causes of data discrepancies.
- Supporting strategic efforts in network management and handling contractual obligations.
- Addressing ad hoc data requests and contributing to special project management initiatives.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- In-depth understanding of CMS Network Adequacy and regulations regarding submissions.
- Expertise in extracting and compiling data from multiple systems.
- Ability to adhere to all phases of the data development life cycle.
- Experience in developing test plans, analyzing results, and making informed recommendations.
- Implementation of data quality controls while tracking Data Quality KPIs.
- Skilled in preparing organized reports and executive summaries for management.
- Researching and documenting new reporting standards and operational processes.
- Consolidating and synthesizing data from various sources effectively.
- Participating in peer reviews while providing analytics support to team members.
- Engaging in projects aimed at enhancing data quality and promoting best practices.
Required Experience
A Bachelor's degree in a related field is essential, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in data management. Proficiency in MS Office, SQL, and relational databases is mandatory.
Required Skills
Basic programming skills in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or PERL are required. Alternative programming experience will also be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience
An ideal candidate will possess a BA or BS in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related disciplines. A Master's degree or certification as a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) alongside experience with various data systems, ETL, or MDM platforms will be advantageous. Knowledge of Massachusetts provider network and regulatory requirements concerning provider data management will be considered a plus.
