Job Description
This role involves software engineering with a focus on real-time control for medical devices. The position emphasizes firmware development over software, primarily using C++. The role involves working with embedded firmware for real-time control systems within medical devices, requiring familiarity with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for real-time control systems in medical devices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards relevant to medical device software.
• Collaborate within a small, dynamic team to contribute to various aspects of the project.
• Apply experience in ICU or ISO standards to ensure product compliance and safety.
• Contribute to cybersecurity measures and software testing processes.

Essential Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering (consideration for 6 years for highly qualified candidates).
• Proficiency in C++ and/or C for embedded systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Experience with medical device software and regulatory compliance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience developing and testing code for websites.
• Cybersecurity knowledge.
• Familiarity with ICU or ISO standards.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Wood Dale, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
Work Environment This position is 100% on-site with flexible start times available for those with family commitments or medical appointments. The role may involve some domestic travel. The team is small and collaborative, offering opportunities to take on various responsibilities and have a visible impact. The company offers a competitive compensation package with a performance-based bonus structure.
