As a Senior Applied Scientist in our Data Science organization, you will play a crucial role in developing state-of-the-art models to navigate vital trade-offs that drive business value.

Your Responsibilities:

• Build and implement robust causal inference models to assess the overall business impact of new product launches (e.g., PSM, Double ML).

• Lead the establishment of measurement standards for new product and feature launches.

• Provide technical mentorship to other members of the data science team.

• Collaborate with senior leadership as a strategic partner to influence our product development initiatives.

What We Look For:

• PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics or Statistics, along with 8+ years of distinguished industry experience.

• Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis and statistical modeling.

• Extensive theoretical and applied knowledge of a variety of quasi-experimental methods.

• A proven track record of shaping business and product strategy through data-driven causal insights and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within the fintech or crypto industries.

• Experience with pricing models, marketing attribution, or customer LTV modeling.

• Understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges presented by crypto businesses and blockchain data.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position ranges from $207,485 to $244,100 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus and equity eligibility along with comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
