In this exciting role, you will support the testing of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS) software across various configurations, including surface, subsurface, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Collaborate with a diverse team of SimVentions testers and government personnel. This position requires on-site presence at our office in King George, VA, as well as our customer site at NSWC Dahlgren.
Travel: Opportunities for travel may arise, although it is not mandatory.
Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is a prerequisite for this position. Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is mandatory to obtain a clearance.
Key Requirements:
- Prior US Navy fleet experience as an E-4 or above Fire Controlman (FC) or Fire Control Technician (FT) rate, holding the TTWCS Operation and Maintenance Technician NEC (V20A) or equivalent.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting tests of tactical weapon systems in various configurations within a lab setting and documenting key insights in lab logs.
- Modifying and troubleshooting lab hardware, equipment, simulators, and network configurations in a dynamic environment.
- Performing data analysis of test outputs and developing data extraction and reduction elements to verify requirements.
- Documenting system problems by creating change requests (CR) and problem reports (PR).
- Verifying software fixes related to CR/PR resolutions.
- Developing and modifying test procedures to ensure requirement verification and functionality.
- Conducting peer reviews of test procedures.
- Creating and maintaining Test Verification Matrices (TVM).
- Generating comprehensive test plans and reports.
- Communicating testing event summaries both verbally and in writing, including delivering technical briefs and data analysis presentations.
- Keeping SimVentions management informed about test initiatives and issues.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Capabilities Based Test and Evaluation (CBT&E).
- Expertise in automated testing tools and methods.
- Familiarity with using Jira for documenting and tracking CRs/PRs and project tasks.
- Ability to create test and lab schedules by assigning lab resources and personnel to tasks effectively.
Education: A BS in a STEM field is preferred but not required.
Compensation:
At SimVentions, compensation is influenced by numerous factors, including the candidate's experience, education, security clearance, work location, and skills. The anticipated annual compensation range for this position is $80,000.00 - $96,000.00 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for the role and is part of a broader total compensation package.
