As a Senior Applied Scientist within our Data Science team, you will play a crucial role in developing advanced models to assess critical trade-offs that enhance business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement robust causal inference models to assess the comprehensive business impact of new product launches (e.g., PSM, Double ML).
• Lead the establishment of measurement standards for product and feature releases.
• Provide expert mentorship to fellow data science team members.
• Collaborate with senior leadership as a strategic partner to guide our product development strategy.

Qualifications:

• PhD or Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field with at least 8 years of extensive industry experience.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, R, or related programming languages for data analysis and statistical modeling.
• In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of various quasi-experimental methods.
• A proven track record of influencing business and product strategies through data-driven causal insights, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Background in pricing models, marketing attribution, or customer lifetime value modeling.
• Familiarity with the specific challenges and opportunities within crypto businesses and blockchain data.

Pay Transparency: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position ranges from $207,485 to $275,000 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include target bonuses, equity opportunities, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
