Job Summary

The Software Engineering Manager is a hands-on technical leader responsible for guiding engineering teams that build and support large-scale mobile applications within a complex digital ecosystem. This role leads engineers in developing and maintaining a digital environment that enhances vehicle connectivity and customer experience.

The position requires both strong technical depth and people leadership capabilities, driving innovation while delivering high-quality software solutions that impact customers globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams delivering end-to-end software products from concept to production for millions of users worldwide.
• Manage, mentor, and grow software engineers through performance feedback, coaching, and development planning.
• Partner closely with Digital Product and Digital Design teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused features.
• Review and provide feedback on product designs and system architectures with a strong engineering focus.
• Improve engineering delivery pipelines to reduce cycle time while increasing quality and security standards.
• Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex or high-risk business challenges.
• Develop and promote engineering best practices across teams.
• Provide cross-organizational technical leadership to eliminate knowledge silos.
• Drive continuous improvement and foster a learning-focused engineering culture.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools to enhance product development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in mobile applications.
• 2+ years of experience leading teams, managing people, and delivering software products to market.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across the enterprise.

Additional Information

This position is classified as Leadership Level 6. Compensation is market-driven and varies based on geographic location, skills, and professional experience.
