Position Summary
Leads platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones. Oversees shared infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks (e.g., CI/CD, SDKs, model runtimes, feature stores) to support scalable, reusable, and secure development. Guides architectural reviews and system design decisions to ensure maintainability, extensibility, and performance across services while ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms.
Platform Engineering Leadership
- Lead execution of platform-level software and AI/ML systems aligned to domain strategy.
- Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks.
- Guide architectural reviews and system design decisions.
- Ensure interoperability and consistency across platforms.
Technical Execution & Lifecycle Management
- Drive the full software development lifecycle including coding, testing, deployment, observability, and maintenance.
- Champion DevOps architecture and CI/CD best practices.
- Implement cloud cost optimization strategies and automation improvements.
- Ensure operational excellence, system availability, scalability, and incident readiness.
AI/ML Integration & Product Development
- Oversee AI-integrated software systems serving customers and associates.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams on AI/ML-enabled features.
- Integrate ML components and AI agents using Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and TypeScript.
- Leverage developer tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance engineering velocity.
Engineering Leadership
- Mentor and develop engineers while fostering innovation and learning.
- Guide architectural trade-offs and career development opportunities.
- Promote testing rigor, code quality, security, and compliance standards.
Strategic Execution & Stakeholder Management
- Own delivery of complex technical initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Align engineering work with domain strategies through backlog and milestone management.
- Manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
- Establish and track operational and engineering metrics.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR
- 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- 2 years’ supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience.
- Experience implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and digital accessibility best practices.
