Join our innovative Fusion AI group as a lead software developer and become an integral part of our core engineering team. You will play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining cloud-native microservices that deliver cutting-edge generative AI and LLM solutions for the Fusion Applications teams. These solutions are vital in supporting Oracle's substantial SaaS portfolio, driving billions in revenue.
Your primary focus will be on optimizing and executing DevOps processes, while collaborating with global teams to enhance service architecture and platform reliability. Collaborate with the microservices development teams, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) teams, and OCI Generative AI teams to evolve into a leading expert in service platform design closely aligned with OCI.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing hands-on technical leadership to enhance service observability and monitoring.
- Supporting our global 24x7 on-call rotation for critical microservices used by Oracle Enterprise customers.
- Driving performance, scalability, and reliability improvements derived from real-world production incident experiences.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex issues lacking documentation.
- Utilizing your understanding of service topology to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions.
- Communicating the impact of architectural decisions on system performance.
- Identifying common problems and improvement opportunities across multiple services and teams.
- Exhibiting professional curiosity to deeply understand services and technologies.
- Using your experience to ensure high availability and operational excellence.
- Eliciting and aggregating relevant information through effective communication.
- Analyzing complex systems swiftly and accurately.
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in full-stack application administration, with at least 3 years in cloud-native technology and applications.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud-native deployment and monitoring tools, including Kubernetes, Helm charts, container deployment, Service Mesh, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Strong expertise in managing large-scale enterprise systems based on Java, application servers, and RDBMS-based microservices.
- Experience with Shell scripting, JavaScript, or Python is a plus.
- Demonstrated technical acumen combined with a customer-focused mindset.
- Proven experience in supporting production and non-production environments for medium to large deployments.
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities to quickly resolve complex issues.
- Knowledge of CI/CD automation to facilitate continuous delivery.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse global teams.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience in Agile/SCRUM software development, including working with Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Salary and Benefits:
Hiring range: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum, with eligibility for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and more.
