This position is responsible for the research, design, and development of X-Ray equipment, with a focus on software design and development. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C#/.NET, software documentation, and working in a safety-critical regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop system software based on requirements.
- Design new architecture and specifications for future functionalities or products.
- Lead technical investigations to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with sales and customer service departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work independently as well as part of a team.
- Develop system software for existing and new generation products.
- Develop system and subsystem-level software test methods and protocols.
- Configure hardware and software according to requirements and protocols.
- Create documentation for new design architecture and functionality.
- Complete and submit all required design control documentation promptly and accurately.
- Debug systems as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional groups and subject domain experts to support product development.
- Complete assigned training and development courses.
- Provide emergency on-call services in partnership with Service and Support.
- Represent the company at conventions and shows.
- Comply with all applicable safety and compliance guidelines.
- Mentor junior software engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the R&D groups.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET.
- Experience with object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of Windows application development using C/C++ and C# (.Net).
- Experience with front-end graphical user interface design using WinForms and WPF.
- Understanding of Windows Operating Systems, networking (TCP/IP, socket), and multi-threading development.
- Proficient in Object-Oriented Design, Development, and design principles/patterns.
- Experience with software requirements gathering, software architecture, coding, code review, unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change control processes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) designation.
- Certifications in Biomedical Equipment (CBET) and Laboratory Equipment (CLES).
- Familiarity with Medical Device regulations (e.g., ISO, IEC) is highly desirable.
- Experience in medical imaging standards and workflow, such as DICOM, IHE.
- Experience in X-ray and radiological systems design and development.
