Job Title: Java Backend Developer
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our Consumer Identity and Access Management team. The role focuses on consumer login systems, identity management, and Single Sign-On (SSO) migration initiatives. The candidate will contribute to building secure, scalable authentication solutions and support ongoing platform enhancements and releases. This role involves approximately 40-50% hands-on coding and the remaining time in collaboration, release due diligence, and cross-team coordination. The team currently consists of 7-8 members, including full-time employees and contractors, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain consumer identity and authentication systems (user login, password login, identity management).
Work on Single Sign-On (SSO) migration initiatives.
Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and Spring.
Build and maintain microservices-based applications.
Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments using Amazon Web Services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for release planning, due diligence, and production support.
Implement containerized applications using Docker.
Monitor and troubleshoot applications using Splunk and New Relic.
Follow DevOps best practices for CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience

6-7 years of experience in Java development.
Strong experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
Experience with Identity & Access Management and authentication systems.
Hands-on experience with SSO migration projects.
Experience with Microservices architecture.
Cloud experience with AWS services, including:
ECS
Fargate
S3
DynamoDB
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Containerization using Docker.
Monitoring and logging using Splunk and New Relic.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in consumer-facing authentication platforms.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to work in Agile teams.
