PowerBI Developer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Fort Worth, TX that is seeking a mid-level to advanced PowerBI Developer who can support both power BI business intelligence reporting and data engineering functions. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, not entry-level and not a solution architect, people manager, or enterprise strategy role. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently on moderately complex data work, understands best practices, and can own deliverables end-to-end with limited oversight. This is a blended role-ideal for someone who has worked as a BI Developer and has meaningful data engineering experience (or vice versa).

Skills

• 5-8 years of total professional experience in Power BI, Azure data engineering, analytics, or related data roles
• 3+ years of hands-on SQL development supporting reporting, analytics, or data integration
• Comfortable owning work independently, but not responsible for defining enterprise-wide data strategy
• Strong to advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Ability to write complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
• Experience supporting reporting, analytics, and data integration workloads
• Solid, hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboards, datasets, dataflows)
• Experience developing and maintaining SSRS reports
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, accurate reporting solutions
• Working knowledge of DAX and performance-optimized report design
• Exper* Experience integrating data from multiple systems, including on-prem SQL sources
• Working to advanced understanding of data modeling for analytics and reporting
• Experience supporting data warehouses and/or data lakes
• Ability to design solutions that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Quick learner/problem-solver
• Ability to gather requirements directly from business stakeholders
• Comfortable explaining data and reports to non-technical users
• Able to estimate effort, manage priorities, and meet delivery timelines
• Experience working within established standards and development practices

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, such as:

• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Data Lake Storage
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Microsoft Fabric
• Azure Data Factory

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
