Join our Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) Money Movement team to help build the essential infrastructure that will define the future of global finance.

Our team integrates payments, trading, wallets, and stablecoins through a seamless onboarding flow and self-service APIs, simplifying the process for businesses to incorporate crypto-native financial capabilities securely, reliably, and at global scale.

On the Money Movement team, you'll create the foundational infrastructure for stablecoin-based payments, enabling swift, secure, and scalable transactions across borders and platforms. Your work will be crucial in facilitating value transfers within the Coinbase ecosystem and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems that support stablecoin pay-ins, payouts, deposits, and withdrawals.
• Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for key projects from design to production, demonstrating high accountability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, infrastructure, and compliance, to deliver scalable solutions.
• Integrate stablecoin functionality into core products in collaboration with various teams across Coinbase.
• Develop internal and external APIs, making it easy for businesses and partners to leverage stablecoin-powered money movement.
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability challenges across systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to fostering a strong, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture.
• Stay current on the evolving crypto ecosystem, recognizing opportunities for improved utility, adoption, and innovation in stablecoin infrastructure.

What We Seek:

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in building and operating large-scale backend systems, ideally within fintech, payments, or crypto.
• Strong proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., Go, Java, or similar) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and system design.
• Familiarity with crypto or blockchain technologies is highly desirable but not required.
• A product-oriented mindset, showing care about the reasons behind what you build.
• Strong sense of ownership with the ability to drive projects through to completion as a DRI.
• A collaborative spirit and an aptitude for cross-functional teamwork with product, design, and engineering teams.
• A passion for developing foundational technology in a fast-paced, impactful environment.

• Knowledge of regulatory or compliance aspects in crypto payments.
• Interest or experience in tokenomics, financial primitives, or digital asset infrastructure.

This position offers a competitive target annual *base salary* ranging from $186,065-$218,900 USD, complementing bonuses and equity eligibility, alongside comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
